A Literary Kind of Love // Part I // Athens, GA Wedding Photographer
Books are such an intimate part of my life. Ever since I was little, I remember always reading while walking at the same time and spending whole Saturdays in bed, reading, while other kids were outside, enjoying Florida's gift of summer all year round. Maybe I suffered from the "grass-is-always-greener" syndrome because the places (and sometimes people) in books seemed much more interesting than what was around me.
When I met Matt, he wasn't much of a reader, but I think there was a compelling mystery behind my passion for books that drew him in. And although picking up a good book to read was not his idea of a cure for boredom, he still picked a bookstore as our location for our first date. He wanted me to pick something out for him; book lovers, can you imagine the difficulty of having to pick out just. one. book? Regardless, I think something inside told me he was meant for me. He wasn't identical to me, but he wanted to know me; he wanted to know what I loved so he could he love it too.
So when Ashley & Danny said they wanted little ol' me to be their wedding photographer, and that they happen to have this connection over books, HOW. COULD. I. SAY. NO?!
This super adorable couple also had their first date in a bookstore, and together, they've been building their own collection to experience as a couple. I cannot wait for their wedding day -- I mean, how can you go wrong with books as your theme? We're even doing a photo booth. A literary themed photo booth. Need I say more?
Ashley & Danny, you guys are so amazing and sweet, and I'm so EXCITED for June. I can't wait to see you guys again; Matt and I feel like we've gained two new friends.
